A Romantic Barn Ceremony at Chafford Park, Kent

We started the day in the beautiful ceremony barn at Chafford Park, which had just been lovingly renovated. As a chafford Park wedding photographer the rustic interior, with exposed beams and soft natural light, made for a romantic and intimate setting for the couple to tie the knot.

The ceremony itself was really special. Led by celebrant Emily Loyd, it included a ribbon-tie ritual to symbolise the couple ‘tying the knot’. It was such a refreshing and personal alternative to a traditional ceremony — full of joy, meaning, and emotion.

As a documentary wedding photographer, moments like this are a dream to capture — heartfelt, unscripted, and totally unique to the couple.

Beautifully Styled Barn Reception at Chafford Park

After the ceremony, guests moved to the second barn for a relaxed and beautifully styled reception. The details were stunning, with table styling by Carter & Olive, who added elegant touches like:

  • Pink glass tealight holders
  • Vintage-style ribbons around candles
  • Postage stamps from around the world
  • And of course — pots of tea for a perfect British countryside touch

Menus and place settings were hand-lettered by Simply Laura Calligraphy, adding a delicate, artisan feel to the table décor.

In the centre of the long banquet table stood an eye-catching cake by Bluebell Kitchen — complete with hand-painted macarons and intricate details. We also styled the white table in the barn with matching macarons and vintage tableware to reflect the theme.

Chafford Park Wedding photography moments

Once the cake had been cut and the couple had enjoyed a few glasses of champagne. We headed outside for some relaxed portraits around the Chafford Park grounds. The weather was perfect, and golden hour gave us the dreamiest light for couple photos.

Bryony wore a bespoke dress by Felicity Westmacott, which had a beautiful silhouette and delicate detailing. She paired it with her own vintage jewellery from her brand, Olive and Eden Vintage, which complemented the romantic country theme perfectly.

My Documentary Wedding Photography Approach

I believe the best wedding photographs are the ones you don’t have to pose for. My documentary style means I’m capturing genuine moments as they happen—the tears during the ceremony, the laughter during speeches, the joy on the dance floor, and all the quiet, intimate moments in between.

On your wedding day, you’ll barely notice I’m there. I blend into the background, allowing you to be fully present with your partner, family, and friends. But when you receive your photos, you’ll see your day through my lens: every emotion, every detail, every beautiful moment preserved.

What’s Included:

  • Full-day documentary coverage (typically 8-10 hours)
  • Pre-wedding consultation to discuss your day and vision
  • Beautifully edited high-resolution images
  • Online gallery for easy viewing and sharing
  • Option to add albums, prints, and engagement sessions
