Nestled in the heart of Kent, Port Lympne offers a blend character and natural charm that makes it a dream location for wedding photography. The venue is part of a conservation reserve, home to rare and endangered animals. Whether it’s the elegant 1920s mansion with its rich interiors or the sweeping Italian gardens. These gardens transport you to a Mediterranean haven, the possibilities for stunning wedding photography are endless. Imagine your wedding portraits framed by the golden light with beautiful gardens as your backdrop.

What truly sets Port Lympne apart is its ability to cater to couples seeking both intimacy and adventure. What is it like as a Port Lympne wedding Photographer ?…

It was a beautiful September day at Port Lympne Hotel and Reserve. Port Lympne is a lovely wedding venue based in Kent, only 2 hours away from London. My first job as a Port Lympne wedding photographer, was to take some photos of the venue. I arrived early and looked around the venue, I had been here earlier in the year for the engagement shoot so I knew it well. I then went to take some detail photos of the reception room whilst it was quiet before the guests arrived.

The details and venue photos are always an important part in the way I work. This means I can capture the whole story for the couple. I then went to see the bride who was ready in the bridal sweet at Port Lympne. The day continued after the ceremony, and confetti exit with group photos, champagne and then the moment everyone was excited for- the safari.

The safari at Port Lympne as a wedding photographer

The safari was great fun, we all travelled in a few trucks, the party cheered and celebrated the newly married couple. We also got to see lots of different animals including, the rhino, deer, and giraffes. We got very close the giraffes which was lovely to see them up so close. If you are looking for a unique venue and experience to entertain your guests, Port Lymne Reserve is a beautiful place for your wedding photographer to capture your memories.

The building was built in 1913 and is surrounded by 14 acres of countryside. This is where the ceremony today took place, it was so pretty and perfect for a small intimate party to gather, and perfect for a Port Lympne reserve wedding photographer to capture the day.

My Documentary Wedding Photography Approach

I believe the best wedding photographs are the ones you don’t have to pose for. My documentary style means I’m capturing genuine moments as they happen—the tears during the ceremony, the laughter during speeches, the joy on the dance floor, and all the quiet, intimate moments in between.

On your wedding day, you’ll barely notice I’m there. I blend into the background, allowing you to be fully present with your partner, family, and friends. But when you receive your photos, you’ll see your day through my lens: every emotion, every detail, every beautiful moment preserved.

What’s Included:
