A beautiful wedding day in Teddington as a Richmond Wedding photographer

It was a lovely day in July I met the grooms family outside St Marys with St Albans Church in Teddington. This is not far from Richmond, making it an easy location being a south West London wedding photographer. Once the church was available to go in, as a Richmond wedding photographer I always speak to the priest before the ceremony and before the guests start arriving. Once the guests started arriving, the bride arrived with her father and the ceremony started. The ceremony was lovely, very cheerful ad the vicar even used bubbles which I thought was a nice and unique touch to the Survice.

The Survice ended and everyone was greeting the bride and groom. It ended with a bagpiper leading the confetti photos. This followed by the wedding guests following the bride and groom down the street on to The Kings Head, which a short walk away. As a Richmond wedding photographer my job was to capture every angle which was great fun. I started in front of the guests and then crossed the road to capture a wider shot.Everyone was loveing the bagpiper even members of the public were stopping to take photos.

Once everyone was settled at the reception, the bride and groom gathered their close family and we walked back to the church for some group photos. As a documentary wedding photographer, although all of my photos are relaxed and unstaged I know how important a few group photos of close family friends are so I always allow time for this. To see more of my work, feel free to check out my portfolio here.

It was a lovely evening; the guests could enjoy majority of it outside until the main course arrived. There were a few speeches followed by a selection of puddings enjoyed outside again. The evening ended with cake cutting and dancing on the dance floor. If you are looking for a Richmond wedding photographer in southwest London, do get in touch here. Finally if you are looking for a photographer in the Uk, I do travel so do get in touch.

My Documentary Wedding Photography Approach

I believe the best wedding photographs are the ones you don’t have to pose for. My documentary style means I’m capturing genuine moments as they happen—the tears during the ceremony, the laughter during speeches, the joy on the dance floor, and all the quiet, intimate moments in between.

On your wedding day, you’ll barely notice I’m there. I blend into the background, allowing you to be fully present with your partner, family, and friends. But when you receive your photos, you’ll see your day through my lens: every emotion, every detail, every beautiful moment preserved.

What’s Included:

  • Full-day documentary coverage (typically 8-10 hours)
  • Pre-wedding consultation to discuss your day and vision
  • Beautifully edited high-resolution images
  • Online gallery for easy viewing and sharing
  • Option to add albums, prints, and engagement sessions
